Eutrophication

The process by which excess nutrients, such as nitrogen and phosphorus, leach into water bodies, causing harmful algal blooms and oxygen depletion. Both organic and conventional farming contribute to eutrophication, with no statistically significant difference between the two systems when measured per kilogram of food.
